We look forward to your valued inquiry!<\/p>\n<h2 data-end=\"417\" data-start=\"392\">What is ISO\/IEC 17021?<\/h2>\n<p data-end=\"721\" data-start=\"419\" class=\"translation-block\"><strong data-end=\"436\" data-start=\"419\">ISO\/IEC 17021<\/strong> (more precisely: ISO\/IEC 17021-1:2015) is an international standard for <strong data-end=\"531\" data-start=\"506\">conformity assessment<\/strong>. It defines the <strong data-end=\"647\" data-start=\"551\">requirements for bodies that carry out audits and certifications of management systems<\/strong> \u2013 in other words, certification bodies. <span data-state=\"closed\"><span data-testid=\"webpage-citation-pill\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/standard\/61651.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\"><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-end=\"775\" data-start=\"723\">Its aim is to ensure that these bodies:<\/p>\n<ul data-end=\"884\" data-start=\"777\">\n<li data-end=\"798\" data-start=\"777\" class=\"translation-block\">are <strong data-end=\"792\" data-start=\"779\">competent<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"826\" data-start=\"799\" class=\"translation-block\">act <strong data-end=\"817\" data-start=\"801\">impartially<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"884\" data-start=\"827\" class=\"translation-block\">and use <strong data-end=\"876\" data-start=\"833\">consistent, traceable procedures<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-end=\"998\" data-start=\"886\" class=\"translation-block\">The standard is <strong data-end=\"918\" data-start=\"905\">generic<\/strong> in its structure. This means it applies to all types of management systems, such as:<\/p>\n<ul data-end=\"1159\" data-start=\"1000\">\n<li data-end=\"1034\" data-start=\"1000\">Quality management (ISO 9001)<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"1067\" data-start=\"1035\">Environmental management (ISO 14001)<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"1159\" data-start=\"1068\">Information security management (ISO\/IEC 27001).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-end=\"1228\" data-start=\"1161\">With the revision, it was divided into several parts, including:<\/p>\n<ul data-end=\"1498\" data-start=\"1230\">\n<li data-end=\"1285\" data-start=\"1230\"><strong data-end=\"1256\" data-start=\"1232\">ISO\/IEC 17021-1:2015<\/strong> \u2013 General requirements<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"1498\" data-start=\"1286\"><strong data-end=\"1370\" data-start=\"1288\">ISO\/IEC 17021-2 \/ -3 \/ Technical Specifications 17021-4, -5, -6, -7, -9, -10<\/strong> \u2013 specific competence requirements (e.g. for environmental or quality management systems).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-end=\"1543\" data-start=\"1505\">Who is ISO\/IEC 17021 relevant for?<\/h2>\n<p data-end=\"1586\" data-start=\"1545\">Die Norm richtet sich in erster Linie an:<\/p>\n<ul data-end=\"1972\" data-start=\"1588\">\n<li data-end=\"1694\" data-start=\"1588\">\n<p data-end=\"1694\" data-start=\"1590\" class=\"translation-block\">EN: <strong data-end=\"1616\" data-start=\"1590\">Certification bodies<\/strong> that audit and certify management systems,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"1822\" data-start=\"1695\">\n<p data-end=\"1822\" data-start=\"1697\"><strong data-end=\"1723\" data-start=\"1697\">Accreditation bodies<\/strong>, that assess and accredit these certification bodies,<span data-state=\"closed\"><span data-testid=\"webpage-citation-pill\"><a alt=\"https:\/\/13485store.com\/articles\/what-is-iso-iec-17021\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" href=\"https:\/\/13485store.com\/articles\/what-is-iso-iec-17021\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"outline: none;\"><br \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"1972\" data-start=\"1823\">\n<p data-end=\"1972\" data-start=\"1825\"><strong data-end=\"1840\" data-start=\"1825\">Companies<\/strong>, that rely on credible certificates and want to ensure that their certification is internationally recognised.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-end=\"2088\" data-start=\"1974\">In short: ISO\/IEC 17021 forms the <strong data-end=\"2050\" data-start=\"2012\">Quality and Trust Foundation<\/strong> behind every credible ISO certificate.<\/p>\n<h2 data-end=\"2138\" data-start=\"2095\">Core Requirements of ISO\/IEC 17021<\/h2>\n<p data-end=\"2277\" data-start=\"2140\" class=\"translation-block\">The standard consists of a series of requirements, all aimed at building <a href=\"https:\/\/linquacert.com\/en\/aktuelle-zertifikate\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\"><strong>confidence in the issued certificates<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-end=\"2309\" data-start=\"2279\">1. Management system of the certification body<\/h3>\n<p data-end=\"3924\" data-start=\"3812\" class=\"translation-block\">The certification body itself must operate its own <strong data-end=\"3882\" data-start=\"3862\">management system<\/strong> (often modelled on ISO 9001):<\/p>\n<ul data-end=\"4135\" data-start=\"3926\">\n<li data-end=\"3994\" data-start=\"3926\">\n<p data-end=\"3994\" data-start=\"3928\">documentation of processes, responsibilities and interfaces,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"4040\" data-start=\"3995\">\n<p data-end=\"4040\" data-start=\"3997\">internal audits and management reviews,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"4135\" data-start=\"4041\">\n<p data-end=\"4135\" data-start=\"4043\">continuous improvement of own performance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">This ensures that the certification body not only audits others, but also <strong data-end=\"4270\" data-start=\"4234\">systematically manages itself<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-end=\"4321\" data-start=\"4278\">5.
